Active ingredients:

Chios Mastic Oil:
Mastic Oil is the essential oil obtained by distillation of the resin of Chios Mastic, produced from the plant Pistacia lentiscus var. chia. It contains more than 120 substances such as triterpenes, volatile components and phenolic compounds. In recent years, an increasing number of laboratory studies highlight multiple biological activities of mastic oil such as: antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, healing and anticancer activity. A study on mastic oil shows protection against gastrointestinal disorders / gastrointestinal discomfort.4 Following the results of laboratory studies, even more clinical studies are expected to confirm the experimental data on an even larger scale. A clinical study of 20238 in 192 healthy volunteers showed that mastic oil is safe and effective in reducing total and LDL cholesterol after 8 weeks of use.

Fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS)

Fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) are non-digestible carbohydrates that belong to the category of dietary fiber and, due to their chemical structure, FOS are not broken down in the upper digestive system. They occur naturally in foods of plant origin and form part of the daily diet. Adequate intake of dietary fiber is part of a balanced and varied diet. “ANEMOS MASTIC CARE LIQUID contains 1000 mg of fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) per 5 ml.”

Vitamin B6 contributes to:

  • the functioning of metabolic processes aimed at energy production
  • normal protein and glycogen metabolism
  • the normal function of the immune system
  • the reduction of tiredness and fatigue
  • the regulation of hormonal activity

Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) from chicory:
They are a source of dietary fiber and offer multiple health benefits. They act as prebiotics which play an important role in maintaining a healthy intestinal environment. Their low glycaemic index, low caloric value and increased mineral absorption are some of the advantages they provide when included in the diet at an appropriate dose.

Herbs Ginger, Chamomile and Calendula

ANEMOS MASTIC CARE LIQUID contains extracts of 4 plant ingredients: ginger (Zingiber officinale), chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla), calendula (Calendula officinalis) and licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra), which are traditionally used plant species with extensive scientific interest.

  1. Ginger (Zingiber officinale) has been extensively studied for its biochemical composition, which includes natural bioactive constituents such as gingerols and shogaols. Scientific research has focused on its potential effects on the gastrointestinal system, on metabolism, on the inflammatory response, as well as on antioxidant and antimicrobial mechanisms that have been observed mainly in experimental and clinical models.
  2. Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) is one of the most traditionally used aromatic plants in Europe and has been the subject of numerous studies for its flavonoids and essential oils. The scientific literature has examined its potential properties related to the gastrointestinal system, mild inflammatory response and relaxation of smooth muscles in experimental models.
  3. Calendula (Calendula officinalis) is a flowering plant traditionally used in extracts and infusions. It has also been studied for its terpenoid and flavonoid components, with research focusing mainly on topical applications and on models related to tissue regeneration and the normal inflammatory response of the skin. At the same time, potential antioxidant properties of its extracts are being investigated.
  4. Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) is a plant ingredient traditionally used in foods and extracts. It contains compounds such as glycyrrhizin and flavonoids, which have been the subject of scientific study.

Although all 4 plant ingredients have extensive scientific documentation at preclinical and clinical level, it is important to note that, according to Regulation (EC) 1924/2006 and the EFSA evaluation, there are no approved health claims for these specific plant extracts in the European Union.
These plants are traditionally used in diet and in herbal practice and are part of a broader framework of plant ingredients that are studied for their chemical composition and biological activity.
