The large tear’s mastic -depending on the time of year bought- could be rather soft for chewing, because due to shortage of mastic fresh mastic could be on the market early, -if the stock of the previous crop is finished-. During transport in Spring / Summer / Autumn, the mastic is exposed to higher temperatures so there is the risk of sticking together. Also large tear’s mastic could stick together if exposed to higher temperatures, due to inappropriate storage.
